“We’re looking at it on a long-term basis. We’re counting on nuclear as an option. At the same time, we have to look at the technical side, and then recommend later on if studies show that it’s good for the country,” Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho L. Petilla said.
Nuclear energy is clean, cheap and reliable but be reminded that it is highly risky beyond imagination. The nuclear tragedies that happened in Chernobyl and in Japan are so devastating that even very rich country like Japan had its worst nightmare containing the extent of the damage. Where they really able to contain the damage? That is a question that has no definite answer.
Then, here we are, eyeing for nuclear energy. I am definitely against nuclear energy, how about you? What’s your “say”?
